IMRAM is a Gaelic word which means "voyage". And this music is a voyage, a voyage through the East and the West, from the Bosphorus to the Irish islands. Compositions, improvisations and traditional repertoire are so many opportunities of exchanges and encounters between Celtic, Ottoman and Turkish music. The Celtic harp, the Turkish lute, the ney and the percussion, all together create a subtle harmony that makes the scent of peat and cold sea mingle with the perfume of incense and spices.
